Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) are “ten times better” than traditional artworks, said Beeple’s $69 million NFT buyer MetaKovan.
MetaKovan went over the reasons behind his purchase in an exclusive interview. Most notably, he mentioned that NFTs have a number of benefits over traditional artworks.
Firstly, NFT’s are easy to transfer. They don’t have any storage costs, and their ownership can be shared. In addition to that, he said that they can “democratize” the art world. It will become more easily accessible to digital artists globally, without regard to their nationality or social background.
MetaKovan also added that NFT’s will bring crypto into the mainstream. In fact, a lot of people will be pulled into the crypto world through NFT. All in all, the excitement around NFTs will encourage more adoption by people.
According to MetaKovan, the NFT market will soon influence the price of large cryptocurrencies such as BTC and ETH.
Speaking of NFTs, Digital artist PplPleasr has recently sold animated UniSwap ads for $525,000. Besides him, TRON founder Justin Sun has also made his mark, winning the bid for Picasso’s ‘Femme nue couchée au collier’ and Andy Warhol’s ‘Three self-portraits’.
With close relevance, Cross-chain DeFi protocol SuperFarm is building a SUPERVERSE that will connect gaming, NFTs, and DeFi. The blockchain has recently come out with details about its Genesis Series NFTs.
