Bitcoin hodler Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn has won a US Senate seat in Wyoming. She is the first woman in the history of the said state to serve as a US senator.

Trump endorsed Bitcoin Hodler Lummis for US Senate

Currently, the world anticipates who will win the nation’s general election, with results between Donald Trump and Joe Biden too close to call in many states. On the other hand, Lummis has already won and will succeed former Senator Mike Enzi.

Additionally, she won with a tremendous margin and successfully secured almost 72.9 percent of the votes against her competitor Merav Ben-David. Furthermore, she received an endorsement for the US Senate seat from President Donald Trump.

In addition, crypto advocates are now celebrating victory. In fact, Avanti Bank & Trust CEO Caitlin Long, a Wall Street veteran and fellow crypto advocate, was among the first to congratulate Lummis for her victory on Twitter.

Lummis Passed Blockchain and Pro-Cryptocurrency Bills

Prior to her new post, Lummis also served as a representative of Wyoming from 2009 to 2017. During that time, she passed a series of blockchain and pro-cryptocurrency bills.

Furthermore, Lummis is also one of the first Bitcoin proponents in the Senate who initially purchased BTC back in 2013, when it was worth over $300. At the time of writing, each bitcoin is worth $14.4K, according to CoinGecko.
