BitPay is now accepting cryptocurrency-based payments for Blocklete Games. These include Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ripple (XRP), and Ethereum (ETH). This will attract fans and new buyers who prefer to pay using crypto.
Blocklete Games is a blockchain-based gaming platform created by entertainment giant WarnerMedia through its subsidiary Turner Sports. The first game in the series, Blocklete Golf, is now available for playing.
The ability to make payments through BitPay will assist Blocklete Games to reach a wider market where accepting credit cards may not be practical. Also, transactions using cryptocurrencies help eliminate fraud and identity theft risks associated with credit cards.
Chief Marketing Officer of BitPay Bill Zielke said:
BitPay continues to see strong demand from leading online game makers to accept cryptocurrency as a fast, secure, and modern method of payment.
BitPay charges an affordable 1% fee to approve any cryptocurrency transaction. What is more, it manages settlements for crypto transactions in a much cheaper way compared to bank cards.
Moreover, using BitPay, Blocklete Games receives settlement the next business day directly to its bank account in US dollars. As a result, there is no cryptocurrency price volatility or risk to the company.
Aside from the abovementioned digital assets, crypto payments done through four dollar-pegged stablecoins namely USD Coin (USDC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Paxos Standard (PAX), and Binance USD (BUSD) are also accepted.
Adding on, BitPay allows transactions from any computer or mobile device making it convenient for Blocklete Games’ customers.
Zielke further expressed his support to the newly-launched blockchain game:
We believe Blocklete Golf will have a strong appeal to the cryptocurrency community and see Turner Sports’ introduction of Blocklete Games as a bold and innovative move embracing new era technology.
BitPay is a leading provider of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment services. Meanwhile, Turner Sports which owns ELEAGUE is an industry leader in the delivery of premium gaming and eSports content.
