Bybit Signs Two New Esports Partners in Sponsorship Spree for WSOT 2021

Bybit Signs Two New Esports Partners in Sponsorship Spree for WSOT 2021
  • Bybit has just signed on two new exciting partners for its esports initiative.
  • Astralis and Alliance will both join NAVI in elevating Bybit’s global fanbase.
  • The three partners will be seen competing in the upcoming WSOT 2021 for a prize pool of $7.5M.

Bybit is out on an esports sponsorship spree, and things are getting exciting. The crypto exchange has just signed on two additional professional gaming organizations for them to become part of its esports universe. The partners will take part in the upcoming WSOT 2021.

The two organizations that made the cut today are Denmark-based Astralis, global frontrunners and the country’s national treasure in esports, as well as independent player-owned Alliance, hailing from Sweden.

These partnerships mark the second and third entry to Bybit’s global esports initiative. Earlier this week, the exchange closed an exclusive deal with NAVI as its crypto platform partner. Now, this deal will strengthen the bond between two rapidly growing gaming communities. Alliance will match its decade of experience and sponsorship deals with Astralis’ undisputed popularity and top-notch Counter-Strike team to elevate Bybit’s following to over 11.3 million fans globally.

The partnerships include the usual; branding rights on jerseys, twitch.tv screens, and digital channels. However, Bybit will add to this by taking an active part in planning player engagements, carbon neutrality initiatives, inclusive financial education as well as various other awareness campaigns. Rumors have also circulated about collaborations with esports stars.

WSOT 2021: Esports Pros, Meet Crypto Lovers

Bybit CEO and co-founder Ben Zhou noted about the sponsorship developments:

Bybit is in it for the long run.

Zhou is a big fan of esports himself.

Much like esports, cryptocurrency is a fast-growing segment and it can be highly competitive. Success in either field requires skills, focus, and the right state of mind. And there’s a special connection between both communities, where real fans champion sportsmanship, respect, and fairness, and the pros compete to bring out the best in each other,” he added.

The upcoming Bybit-hosted World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2021 will see talent from both Astralis and Alliance as leading troops. The annual gamified crypto trading competition will give users the chance to find out if the esports extraordinaires’ crypto trading strategies are as impeccable as their gaming performances. A prize pool of up to $7.5 million is up for grabs this year, almost five times the amount of last year’s total prize.
