- Cardano’s IOHK has rebranded to IOG.
- IOHK’s name change came because Cardano has reached the “final stages of a big contract with an African government.”
IOHK, the company behind Cardano (ADA), has renamed to Input and Output Global (IOG). The rebranding of IOHK to IOG aims to reach the world with a preferable brand name.
In terms of technological achievement, IOHK Director John O’ Connor said that they are in the final stages of a big contract with an African Government. Furthermore, the contract is expected to open ADA’s blockchain gateway to millions of users. When this happens, Cardano will provide an advanced platform that is way better than the conventional ones offered today.
Moreover, John acknowledged that their ongoing project includes many other countries and focuses not only on Ethiopia. In addition, the project will provide a customized decentralized identity solution from the Cardano blockchain network Atala PRISM. For this reason, the project will need a massive effort and timing for processing.
After this project ends, Cardano will go to African countries like South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya to explore new projects.
Charles Hoskinson remains the CEO and Co-Founder of IOG. With Cardano’s decentralized technology, he believes that Cardano can develop the African continent.
