- Coinbase announces the listing of Shiba Inu on its exchange platform.
- Following the announcement, the SHIB price soared to a new ATH.
- Traders can soon begin trading SHIB as well as CHZ and KEEP
In detail, the crypto exchange says that Coinbase Pro traders can immediately transfer their Shiba Inu assets onto their accounts on the platform. Although, it seems that New York residents will have to wait a little longer for this privilege.
To elaborate, Coinbase clarifies,
Trading will begin on or after 9 AM Pacific Time (PT) Thursday, June 17, if liquidity conditions are met.
The soaring SHIB price took the asset from $0.00000723 to $0.00000937. This makes $0.00000937 SHIB’s new all-time high. Presently, the price of SHIB stands at $0.00000902.
Moreover, according to CoinGecko, SHIB is at rank 29 in terms of market cap. With a total market cap of $4,456,313,860, SHIB is trading at a 24 hour volume of $1,436,709,815.
This new Coinbase announcement came soon after the exchange’s decision to add Dogecoin (DOGE) for trading. Shiba Inu acts as an alternative to the popular meme coin DOGE. Presently, DOGE is ranking at 6th place on CoinGecko based on market cap.
Furthermore, DOGE is sporting a total market cap of $41,475,649,413. In addition, it is trading at a 24 hour volume of $1,830,425,812.
Additionally, Coinbase says that it will also be opening trade for Chiliz (CHZ) and the Keep network’s KEEP on its platform. This is in line with the exchange’s proactivity in adding new cryptos to meet trading demands. Specifically, in its last quest to further equipping its roster, Dogecoin made its debut on the exchange. Along with DOGE, Polkadot (DOT), Amp (AMP), Gitcoin (GTC), Internet Computer (ICP), and Enzyme Token (MLN) joined in as well.
