  • Formula 1 has struck a partnership with Crypto.com.
  • The exchange will be its global and inaugural partner for the 2021 Sprint series.

Formula 1 (F1) is thrilled to announce Crypto.com as its global partner. The crypto exchange platform is also Formula 1’s inaugural partner for the new 2021 Sprint series.

In addition, the first Sprint series event will take place at Silverstone on Saturday, July 17, 2021. This marks Crypto.com’s debut as an inaugural partner ahead of the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2021.

Presently, the fast-growing crypto exchange has over 10 million global users. Moreover, it is popular with both Android and iOS users. Also, the Crypto.com Visa Card is the world’s most popular crypto card available yet. More so, it is available in over 30 countries.

This partnership will ensure both partners a chance to boost their brand presence on an international stage. For example, Crypto.com will have a trackside presence at every race for the rest of the season.

In other news, Crypto.com will also be the official cryptocurrency sponsor and NFT partner for F1. The racing company is taking its fan-first approach to the next level. Together with Crypto.com, they aim to democratize the world of cryptocurrency for fans. Most excitingly, Crypto.com will be presenting a new award ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix.

President and CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, says

We are pleased to welcome Crypto.com to the Formula 1 family, as we continue to attract progressive global brands anchored in performance and innovation.

Meanwhile, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, says that the brand is very proud to be the first cryptocurrency sponsor of Formula 1. He adds that they are looking forward to many years of innovating together.

Lastly, F1 plans to reach Net Zero Carbon as a sport by 2030. Hence, their partnership with Crypto.com works better since the platform also aims to become carbon negative within 18 months. Specifically, it took the pledge in May 2021 and is working to offer the industry a path for ‘clean crypto’.
