Crypto Hot Topics ‘Live Debate’ On Dvision Network

Dvision Network
  • Dvision Network is hosting a Live Debate on its metaverse.
  • The debate is organized by the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
  • The debate features industry thinkers who address hot topics in the industry.

Dvision Network — the blockchain-based metaverse, is making history with its upcoming ‘action-packed’ event. In detail, the NFT metaverse will host a ‘Live Debate’ on a hot industry topic. Specifically, the topic of focus is Cryptocurrency Legislation and Improvement Measures.

Moreover, the event organization is provided by the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. In particular, the live debate will be held within the Dvision Metaverse on August 12, 2021, between 14:00 KST – 17:00 KST.

It is no secret that the issue of legislation of cryptos is a global hot topic. Hence, this highly anticipated event is a huge initiative from the Korean Parliament. It is taking place thanks to the collaboration of legislators from leading political parties like the Democratic and People’s Power parties.

To meet the challenges in the industry, many improvements are arising in the financial sphere. To name a few, improved existing KYC, enhanced AML compliance practices, and better tax filings. These steps contribute towards a way forward in ensuring proper crypto regulations.

South Korea stands as an industry frontrunner in this field. Thus, the debate will be addressing similar core issues within the crypto industry. In addition, the debate is set to attract experts, including the Korean National Assembly government officials. These figures will express their opinions on controversial issues within the crypto sphere.

To begin with, the first speaker is Jeong Sangho — the CEO of Delio. This brand is a leading crypto finance company and will be addressing the adoption of custody and wallet business services from a legal perspective.

Next on the list is the second speaker, a reputed lawyer — Jo Wonhee (Chief Attorney at D’Light Law Firm). Wonhee will be discussing existing deficiencies in the Special Financial Information Law. This law was passed by the South Korean government in early March 2021 to initiate an early crypto regulation. Accordingly, Wonhee will be emphasizing the weak points in this key legislation. More so, the lawyer will also address the improvements needed within the Special Financial Information Law.

Lastly, Jeong Jiyeol — the Chairman of the Korean Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists Association, will present last. Jiyeol will be providing insights into a methodology for compliance with the ‘Travel Rule’, mandated by the FATF. This rule requires crypto operators, including exchanges and companies, to register customer data and report it to government bodies.

This presentation will most likely be one of the highlights for addressing the surge of the ongoing violations of AML and KYC practices. Especially to those violations that disrupt the further improvement of the regulatory and legislative aspect of the emerging technology.

In conclusion, the ‘Live Debate’ will see the attendance of many other high-profile personalities. To name a few, Lee Jeongyeop — Chief Judge at the Seoul Bankruptcy Court; Park Joo Young — director of the Financial Innovation Division at the FSS; Lee Sangmu — Security Authentication Team Leader at KISA, and as mentioned above, Jeong Jiyeol — a deputy professor at Law Department of Dankook University.

These experts will be engaging in a lively debate to share their insights and opinions regarding several crucial topics in the field of crypto. The debate will include topics such as taxation, legislation, regulatory efforts undertaken by the South Korean government, and more.

All in all, the event will likely make a major contribution to the advancement of legislative and regulatory efforts from the South Korean government towards the fast-growing crypto industry. Whereas, Dvision is marking this historic event by hosting it on its unique metaverse.
