- Larva Labs lands a contract with United Talent Agency (UTA)
- UTA will represent CryptoPunks, Meebits and Autoglyphs in movies and video games
Larva Labs, the creative team behind the famous NFT crypto project CryptoPunks, has successfully landed a contract with United Talent Agency (UTA). In detail, this partnership will allow UTA to represent the Larva Labs project in movies, TV, video games, and publishing, to name a few. Indeed, this is an absolute achievement that Larva Labs hit this year.
Lesley Silverman, head of UTA Digital Assets, explained to the Hollywood Reporter:
I would say that it is one of the first opportunities for an IP that fully originated in crypto-world to enter a broader entertainment space, and they earned it. They really have hit the zeitgeist in a tremendous way.
Aside from the famous CryptoPunks, the other projects of Larva Labs, such as Meebits and Autoglyphs, will also be represented by UTA. Through this, Larva Labs can extend its reach not only to the crypto world but also to the Hollywood community. As a result, Larva Labs and its projects can expect mass adoption of its digital asset in the coming days.
The success of Larva Labs made its co-founder Matt Hall and its team happy and excited.
We are excited to work with UTA for the benefit of the entire community connected to our projects, Not only for the exciting opportunities to bring them wider exposure, but to help protect their growth and value for the long term, Matt said.
On the other hand, the progress that Larva Labs has made also benefits the Ethereum network. To explain, CryptoPunks is one of the earliest NFT on the Ethereum network and is the inspiration for the ERC-721 standard. The ERC-721 is a technology of Ethereum that powers digital art and collectibles.
