This event has made the whole family behind Dogecoin mourn as they lost one of their notable technology developers. The creator of Dogecoin, Billy Markus reacted:
Sporklin devoted the last 7 years of her life to Dogecoin, in every way. Supporting the devs, educating the community, defending others with her wit and boldness. She cared greatly about integrity and lived up to her ideals. She was a true shibe.
She will be greatly missed. RIP. pic.twitter.com/Yl9k2yvYdv

He added that he was witness to the dedication that Sporklin gave in developing the technology of Dogecoin. “Sporklin devoted the last 7 years of her life to Dogecoin, in every way. She cared greatly about integrity and lived up to her ideals and made a huge impact on many people and handled so much behind the scenes,” he said.
At the same time, while the Dogecoin team mourns for their loss, the crypto continues to maintain its uptrend position. Not just this, but DOGE has recorded a growth rate of almost +400% in the past 30 days. Truly, DOGE is one of the mainstream tokens in the crypto space today.
In terms of market position, DOGE market cap amounts to over $34 billion. As a result, DOGE ranks alongside other top cryptos in CoinGecko like Bitcoin and Ethereum to name a few.
Today, DOGE trades at a high price $.274 per crypto, a decent price favored by the global investors. Moreover, this bullish market position of the crypto would not be possible without the work of developers such as Sporklin. For this reason, Sporklin memories will always be remembered by the DOGE community.
