According to an announcement on January 26, Enjin Coin and MetaverseMe have merged non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with Augmented Reality. Bryana Kortendick, Enjin VP of news, said that they plan to create a next-gen gaming experience.
To announce the partnership, Kortendick proceeded as follows:
Leading blockchain gaming platform, Enjin, and Augmented Reality (AR) platform MetaverseMe are partnering to introduce tradeable, augmented reality fashion assets to the Ethereum blockchain.
Furthermore, she said that users’ avatars could wear the Enjin-powered NFTs in the MetaverseMe app starting February 23. She also continued that the MetaverseMe app would allow users to take selfies and generate hyper-realistic avatars.
Kortendik also added that this will bring people’s digital avatars to life as they interact with their NFT fashion. She also noted that users could record their Avatars wearing style NFTs in Augmented Reality and share on social media.
Martyn Hughes, Founder of MetaverseMe, also added a few statements. He said that this wouldn’t be long before the realities of blockchain. Plus, he noted that using your assets across all of your favorite games and apps will change the digital economy.
To continue, Kortendick says that the first NFTs that MetaverseMe will use is a set of ‘Pluriform.’ This is a limited run of digital-only fashion pieces made through a lasting union between Enjin, Atari, MetaverseMe, and The Fabricant. Besides, she added that the Pluriform NFTs would be open until February 28. However, they will burn all unsold supplies at the end of the sale.
Enjin said that users could use the Pluriform fashion line in MetaverseMe’s augmented reality mode. This will help bring these uniquely rare NFTs into other virtual worlds like Minecraft, The Six Dragons, and more.
Following this, Maxim Blagov, Enjin CEO, said that blockchain and Augmented Reality are two techs on course. Besides, he added that soon, people’s likeness would ascend across the entire internet.
