Huobi Exchange Enables Visa, Mastercard Crypto Payments

Huobi exchange customers can now purchase crypto through their Visa and Mastercard cards, straight from the platform. Customers will no longer need to be redirected to a third-party portal.

This new integration by Huobi exchange allows users to register and transact from a single interface. This even makes it simpler to make crypto payments using Visa and Mastercard.

Visa cardholders in Australia and Europe can now use the service to buy any cryptocurrency supported on Huobi exchange. This includes BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, and other major cryptocurrencies.

Customers in the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Gibraltar, Australia, Czech Republic, and France can use their Mastercard.

Huobi Group VP of Global Business Ciara Sun noted,

By removing an extra step in the user journey, Huobi is creating a frictionless experience

To add on, this development will make it easier for anyone to buy crypto without leaving the exchange.

Huobi exchange’s Huobi Technology in Gibraltar developed the new payment service integration. This is a blockchain subsidiary of Huobi Global, which is regulated in the said country.

Huobi exchange team further announced that:

Users could now access fiat-to-crypto gateway via Visa and MasterCard payment services.

Supported fiat currencies include ALL, BGN, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP HRK, HUF, MDL, MKD, and NOK. The platform also supports PLN, RON, SEK, TRY, UAH, HKD, AUD, and USD.

Prior to this, Huobi would redirect its clients to a third-party payment portal when using credit or debit cards from Mastercard and Visa. This required card users to go through the know-your-customer (KYC) verification process.
