  • This is due to the heavy load that occurred via their system.

India’s crypto exchange WazirX is experiencing a network outage. As a result of this, WazirX’s CEO Nischal Shetty has tweeted that they are working very hard to bring their peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto services back to normal.

Specifically, Shetty said that their system had a heavy load which might have caused the outage. He further said, “No matter how much you prepare for traffic, some system loads are crazy”.

Besides, Shetty gave users a concrete assurance that their wallet is secured and safe despite their network outage. However, according to Shetty, they need more time to resolve the issue for this kind of network outage.

More so, Shetty added that the company has hit some internal limits made by one of their infrastructure providers. On this, he added that they are even working with their infrastructure providers to mainly address this issue at go. “Please bear with us while we get this resolved”.

What is more, Shetty’s tweet got people’s attention on Twitter. As per the viewer’s response to the tweet, some replied that WazirX should try harder and resolve the issue. Others also thought that they had lost their assets holding in the said exchange.  Furthermore, as the Indian government continues to tighten controls on cryptocurrency, there is a piece of bittersweet news for crypto users. However, the news is that the exchange has crossed the $200 million mark in daily trading volume.
