- IOTA announces collaboration with Dell on Project Alvarium.
- However, the project is targeted at apps that use large volumes of data and also ensure these are trustworthy and safe to use.
- In addition, Dell and IOTA Foundation have also collaborated with Intel to explain the project.
According to a blog post, IOTA Foundation joined hands with Dell Technologies to start the first-ever demonstration of the Alvarium project. This allows users to estimate the trustworthiness of data.
Another big step toward #datasecurity in #ProjectAlvarium!

Together with Dell Technologies and Intel, we’re thrilled to introduce the world-first demonstration measuring the trustworthiness of data. https://t.co/CnLKHHN9rp#IOTA #Oracles @delltech @intel
Project Alvarium: The Backbone of Trustworthy Data
Through the IOTA Tangle-based Project Alvarium, IOTA Foundation, a non-profit firm focused on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and the machine economy, and Dell Technologies give a measurable way of evaluating the confidence in data.
Nevertheless, the IOTA Tangle moves beyond blockchain by delivering the world’s first scalable, feeless, and fully-decentralized DLT. A real-life example in which Alvarium could be used is the global pandemic. More so, the pandemic has now spread around the globe and caused multiple lockdowns last year.
In 2019, Dell Technologies’ blog post discussed building the first Data Confidence Fabric. However, the technology has been re-engineered using the IOTA Streams framework. Moreover, the Project Alvarium targets large volume data applications. Also, this allows them to ensure these apps are trustworthy and safe to use.
Co-Founder of the IOTA Foundation Dominik Schiener said that,
“We’re coming to a convergence in technologies and a growth in data utilization, but for that to succeed at scale, we need to be able to trust the data that we’re using.”
The Alvarium project’s explanation by IOTA and Dell is to allow initial integration into hardware and software for firms. Moreover, it is for the firm that needs a high level of compliance and supervision in an industry with high regulatory demands.
In addition, Dell and IOTA Foundation have also collaborated with Intel to explain the project. Furthermore, Alvarium’s operation will be demonstrated on February 24 at 11 AM EST during a public webinar.
