This Splinterlands Review article discusses most of the things about SPS and its features. However, this article should not be taken as financial advice. Instead, we urge the traders and investors to do their own research before getting involved in cryptocurrencies.
The crypto world never stops innovating its network to provide its community with the latest blockchain technology. This technology fuels the different projects created every day in the crypto space. The non-fungible tokens (NFT) is one of the hottest topics in the space because of its play-to-earn feature that catches the heart of gamers worldwide.
Splintershards (SPS) is one of the most talked-about NFT play-to-earn games in the crypto world. It is a crypto network that uses the technology of the Binance Smart Chain ( BSC). As a result, SPS can be found in PancakeSwap and other decentralized exchanges that support the BSC network.
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a game founded by Jesse Reich and Matthew Rosen. It is a digital collectible card game inspired by games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone. Interestingly, SPS enables its players to build and create their own deck of cards with different attributes and battle them with other players in the network.
The game also has a marketplace or shop where players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets. Through this, players can have the flexibility to choose a specific digital asset that they need in the game.
Once the player has already completed that card that is needed to play the game, they can now engage in playing and start earning Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) tokens. To be specific, the DEC token is the official reward token used by the SPS network. Furthermore, the token can be used to buy in-game items in the shop and can be transferred among players.
At the time of writing, the DEC token trades at a decent price of $0.010 per crypto. It has a 24-hour trading volume of over $21k. For all interested traders and investors, the DEC token can be bought, sold and traded on exchanges such as TronTrade and Uniswap.
How to start playing Splinterlands
Step 1. Create an account or just simply connect your crypto wallet such as MetaMask.
Step 2. Once you are now logged in, click the “Play Now” button. After clicking it, you will find the “Battle” button on the next page. Click it too.
Step 3. The battle button takes you to a place where you can challenge opponents. To maintain the balance, the SPS battle system finds an opponent with the same experience or skill as you.
Step 4. Once the Splinterlands (SPS) system successfully finds a challenger, a pop-up note will appear that states the limitations of the battle.
Step 5. Create a team, build a deck based on your strategy.
Step 6. When you and your opponent are ready, the battle will now begin. The system will decide who wins the battle and the winning player earns DEC and experience while losers lose some experience points.
How to earn tokens in Splinterlands
The Splinterlands network offers different types of tokens in the gameplay. Specifically, three tokens are circulating in the SPS platform: DEC, Credits, and Splinterlands. These tokens play different roles in the ecosystem of Splinterlands.
Credits is an in-game currency that gamers can use to buy a set of cards or spend on items inside the marketplace. This is followed by the DEC tokens, which is also known as the reward token of the network. Furthermore, DEC tokens can be utilized to purchase exclusive items and rare card packs in the game.
Last but not least, the SPS tokens, these tokens can be used to enter exclusive or special tournaments. Since this is the native token of the SPS ecosystem, it can also be staked to earn more tokens in return.
These things mentioned above are just some of the ways to earn tokens in the Splinterland ecosystem. Hence, it is still up to the players on how they strategize to earn more tokens in the SPS ecosystem. Completing quests in the games is one of the easiest ways to raise your fund in the network.
Splinterlands Rental System
The Splinterlands network has created a feature on its website — Splinterlands rental system. This feature of the platform enables players to continue earning passive income while helping other players on their gameplay journey.
The listing of cards for rent on the website will be easy. It will be shown in the card rentals tab on the marketplace of the website. However, all gamers interested in card rentals must pay in the form of DEC or Credits. In addition, all amounts paid will be held in escrow by the game system. In short, players that list their cards for rent and who will rent can be sure that payments will be made in a seamless manner.
Splinterlands is a crypto network that uses the Binance Smart Chain technology. It has gameplay inspired by Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone.
The SPS crypto can be acquired by visiting some exchanges such as Gate.io and Pancakeswap, to name a few.
The most common wallets that support SPS are the Trust and MetaMask wallets. However, there are still more crypto wallets out in the market that support BSC. It is wise that users do their own research to know more about crypto wallets.
