Tech Mahindra revealed that it has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build solutions for aviation, telecom, and healthcare based on Amazon Managed Blockchain (AMB).
According to Economic News, the firm is also planning to extend its support for multiple sectors including oil, gas, and manufacturing over the next 12 months. The partnership’s major focus is to disrupt the supply chain across these sectors in order to facilitate business continuity amid today’s global pandemic.
Tech Mahindra is the fifth largest Indian multinational tech giant that works on a holistic framework called Block Ecosystem. It is a $5.2 billion company with more than 125k employees across 90 countries. It has won over 10 industry awards from reputable organizations and awards committees such as the Indian Blockchain Awards in 2019 and Microsoft Inspire Awards.
Meanwhile, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most extensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. It offers over 175 fully featured services from data centers globally. It also has 77 Availability Zones within 24 geographic regions across the world.
Prior to the partnership, Tech Mahindra has also pursued collaborations with different companies to advance its blockchain-based solutions. These include its recent partnership with cybersecurity solutions firm CyQurex, and with the government of the southern Indian state Telangana to promote blockchain innovation within the region.
Moreover, it has launched its blockchain-based digital contracts and rights management system for the media and entertainment industry.
