Theta Network announced that Theta Guardian Node v3.0.2 is released to enable Mainnet 3.0 features.
The Theta Network team announced their excitement as follow,
“We are pleased to announce the Guardian Node v3.0.2 release for Theta Mainnet 3.0. This release will perform a hardfork at blockheight 10968061 (approximately 12pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021, PT).”
Further, the team said users have to upgrade their nodes. Otherwise, it will fall out of sync after the hardfork height. So, for users who are running the GUI/app version, it will update itself.
Moreover, the team urges users to download the latest version if they run Theta from the Ubuntu command line or Google Marketplace. Theta encourages users to download the newest binary using a command line.
In addition, the firm asks users to replace <THETA_BIN_PATH> with the parent folder of the theta binary they are running with:
“curl -k –output <THETA_BIN_PATH>/theta `curl -k ‘https://mainnet-data.thetatoken.org/binary?os=linux&name=theta’`
curl -k –output <THETA_BIN_PATH>/thetacli `curl -k ‘https://mainnet-data.thetatoken.org/binary?os=linux&name=thetacli’`”
More so, the team added that if users are compiling from the source code, they should check out the latest source code from the release branch. In addition, Theta announced new updates. The team noted that updates to the Theta Edge Node and Theta Wallet would follow soon to prepare for Mainnet 3.0 launch on June 30.
