Venezuelan President Promises to Boost Petro (PTR) in 2021

According to an annual message to the nation, Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro wants to boost a national digital economy. Maduro plans to expand the use of digital payments and blockchain in 2021. In the National Assembly's annual speech, the president wants to revive Petro cryptocurrency in 2021. Maduro claimed that 2021 would be the year of the state-backed Petro (PTR) token. He also added that he plans to boost the national crypto market. Besides, he said that the payment service, Patria is also on his agenda. In line with this, he said that the Petro (PTR) token's revival and all cryptosystems would set the tone for 2021. Blockchain technologies, the Patria system, and new applications will also give solutions to specific problems. Furthermore, Maduro explained that he plans to extend the usage of a contactless payment solution.
