Visa Partner Ripio Buys Brazil’s 2nd Biggest BTC Exchange

  • Argentina’s biggest blockchain company Ripio has purchased Brazilian crypto exchange named Bitcoin Trade.

Visa partner company Ripio has bought Brazil’s second-biggest Bitcoin exchange named Bitcoin Trade. Through this acquisition, Ripio will extend cryptocurrency adoption not just in Argentina but to the entire world.

Bitcoin Trade CEO Carlos Andre Montenegro remarkably said that the firm believes Ripio’s abilities and potentials to expand the company’s vision.

He said,

we are convinced that Ripio is the best company to extend the path we are building with BitcoinTrade in Brazil.

Meanwhile, as part of its achievement last year, Ripio ended up on a silver platter. Wherein it got almost over 1 million user-rich milestones.

Following the above-mentioned, Ripio’s Chief Executive Officer Sebastian Serrano said in an interview that ‘in terms of market dominance, Brazil has always been good’.

Serrano said,

BitcoinTrade has a very good reputation in the market, very good processes, and compliance. It also has a very meaningful user base__about 300,000 users in __and very good volumes on the exchange.

Amazingly, months ago, Mexico City-based exchange Bitso earned over $62 million via Brazil’s Bitcoin Trade exchange. Serrano added that Ripio has a good relationship with Bitso with access to venture capital to grow the American market.

Ripio claims to be the best and leading crypto company since its inception in 2013. Regarding its initial coin offering (ICO), the company has over $44 million at the time of writing.

Meanwhile, this Ripio acquisition is not the first ever. Previously 2015, the company bought Unisend, an American bitcoin exchange for its peer-to-peer (P2P) services.
